hydrocarbon propellants
The majority of product we supply is unodourised propane and butane, and blends of these gases. These propellants are used in a wide variety of applications, from personal care products such as deodorants, through to paints and speciality automotive care products. We can also meet your specific blend and pressure requirements.
We can supply unodourised propane and butane in various sized loads ranging from small cylinders for R&D purposes, right through to bulk 20mt road tanker loads. Product is locally sourced, from facilities located onshore from the Bass Strait gas fields in Victoria, Australia.
dimethyl ether (DME)
Dimethyl ether, or DME, is an aerosol propellant with excellent solvency and miscibility properties. DME is perfectly suited as the propellant of choice when packing end products with a waxy or oily nature.
DME also has excellent environmental characteristics as an extraction solvent, and for use in green-vehicle transport applications as a replacement for diesel fuels.

Aerosol Supplies Australia supplies a variety of other propellant gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), 1-butene, n-pentane, and isopentane / isobutane blends.
Through our network of global suppliers, we can also source other, more difficult speciality gases that may be required.
tank and equipment installation and maintenance
Through our association with Customised Gas Australia, we are able to assist customers with initial advice on tank storage farm locations and layouts, and manage the sourcing and installation of bulk vessels, molecular sieves, and the required pipework, pumps and valves.
We can also undertake the maintenance, repair and statutory retesting of bulk storage vessels.
molecular sieve beads supply and services
We carry stocks of the most common molecular sieve beads used in aerosol production applications, used principally for the removal of trace sulphur from unodourised butane prior to on-site blending and filling.
We can also arrange the replacement of spent beads in customer-owned sieve beds, and the disposal of these spent molecular beads.
